Andy Tracy - and family - on the web

The reasonable man adapts himself to the world, the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to him. Therefore all progress depends on the unreasonable man.
If you're using Apple OS X could you do me a favour and advise what the script reports so I can update the javascript? Browser sniffer experiment.

Make sure that your Java VM is
enabled or down load the newest one
from Sun. Uninstall older versions.
Running XP and not sure what you've got? IE should offer to
download the latest if you browse a page requiring the JVM and it's not
installed. Otherwise try this: run Windows Command Prompt (from Start /
All Programs / Accessories / Command Prompt) then type "jview" and hit return.
The installed version is at the right of the first line!!

Welcome to this small chunk of cyberspace and my efforts to keep my distant friends up
with our adventures. The hardest part of this seem to be keeping the site up to date
but also avoiding spending every minute of every day tinkering with the smallest of items.
The site is currently being
built with
Microsoft's Expression Web so feel free to advise me of my errors!
If youve found the site, it's only really here for my experimentation but I hope you
may find a few things of interest here, perhaps on my
CX
and PC pages, some
dubious humour,

Rubik's cube, play
Asteroids or
solve Sudoku.
I work in Hong
Kong for Cathay Pacific Airways
at Chek Lap Kok pictured below - Hong Kong’s
airport - but rather than fly the Farman biplane, I fly the Airbus A330/A340 as
a Captain.

Well, you know what I do, so why not have a look around by clicking on
one of the links at the bottom of the page and when you're done, feel free to tell me what you think ...

While I agree that we need to do something
about the air quality, personally I do not think wind power is an
answer. With wind power capacity factors only up to 45% with the need for
spinning reserves, electricity costs
7.2p/kWh compared with 2.2 for gas-fired CCGT. 140 2.3MW turbines covering
30 sq miles at
Whitelee will produce an installed capacity of 322MW; 7% of the
output of a nuclear plant that would need 3.5% of the area, ignoring the need
for spinning reserve! In 2003, the most recent year for which figures are available, America's
power-generation industry spent less on R&D as a proportion of turnover than did
the country's pet-food industry.
